How many Sessions Will I Need?

Solution focused hypnotherapy offers the potential for swift results, often outpacing traditional talk therapies. Positive change typically emerges within 6 to 12 sessions, depending on your goals. This collaborative journey relies on your active participation and commitment to attending sessions, along with engaging in activities between sessions, ensuring optimal outcomes. 

Do I Need To Do Anything In Between Sessions?

This will depend on your goals for therapy, but I may ask you to listen to a relaxation audio at night before you go to sleep. This helps not only your sleep but also helps to reinforce the work we do in sessions. This is particularly beneficial for gut-directed hypnotherapy. There may also be small tasks for you to complete between sessions such as noticing changes or positives.  

Is Hypnotherapy Suitable For Children?

Is Hypnotherapy Safe?

Yes, children are usually very receptive to hypnotherapy due to their fantastic imaginations. I use a variety of creative techniques to engage children according to their goals and interests, and I work with children from the age of 7. I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS. 

Yes, hypnotherapy is absolutely safe and you will remain in control at all times. Trance is a daydream state that we go into naturally many times a day e.g. if you’re driving or walking somewhere familiar and it is very relaxing. 

Children & Teens

Solution-focused hypnotherapy offers a gentle and positive approach and I offer tailored programs specifically for children and young people aged 7 and above. Harnessing their imagination, we collaborate to define and reach their objectives by breaking them down into manageable steps. Using visualisations, confidence-building exercises, and metaphors, I aim to empower young people to recognise their strengths, resilience, and unique qualities. Unlike traditional talk therapies, our focus remains steadfast on their future goals rather than dwelling on the past. 

With over a decade of experience working with children in various capacities, I take pride in my ability to quickly establish rapport with young clients, ensuring they feel at ease and secure throughout our sessions. 

As a parent, I understand the importance of supporting not just your child but also you, the caregiver. That's why my child programs include a complimentary one-hour session just for you. It's essential for you to feel your best, equipped with valuable tools to support your child effectively. Prioritising the well-being of both you and your child fosters a harmonious family dynamic, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
